Why Choose Hercules SLR Twine
Twine is an excellent all-purpose utility cord used in a variety of applications, appropriate for both indoor and outdoor environments. Twine is composed of two or more strands plied in the opposite direction in which they have been twisted to prevent it from unravelling and add strength.
Twine made of natural fibres (cotton, hemp or jute) is suited for lighter-duty applications of bundling and binding. This type of twine is excellent for meatpacking, parcel shipping, food service and sewing applications.
Twine made of synthetic fibres (nylon or polypropylene) is used in more demanding applications such as manufacturing, lumberyard binding and fishing. Nylon is one of the strongest and most popular materials in the market for twine as well as rope and cords. These smooth synthetic fibres are resistant to temperature, weather elements, chemicals, moisture, UV rays and abrasions. Synthetic fibre twine is flexible, with a slight stretch and performs better and longer than twines made of natural fibres.
