Standard and Emergency First Aid Training

Overview

Hercules SLR is happy to provide Canadian Red Cross First Aid Programs. This program is designed to meet industry, business and government regulations. Programs are highly interactive to prepare first aiders to respond appropriately in an emergency.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Identify potential scene hazards
  • Quickly assess a casualty’s injury or illness
  • Apply appropriate first aid based on casualty condition

 

Content

  • CPR Level “C” and AED (adult, child, infant)
  • Preparing to respond
  • Check, call, care
  • Airway emergencies
  • Breathing and circulation emergencies
  • Wound care
  • Bone and joint injuries

Format

The program is a combination of theory and practical exercises. Students are evaluated by means of a written examination. A certificate of completion will be issued valid for 3 years.

Duration

  • 1 day emergency.
  • 2 days standard.
