Relevant du superviseur des services, le technicien de pont-roulant effectue les inspections et les essais sur les différents palans et ponts-roulants afin d’assurer la conformité des certificats de sécurité aux règlements fédéraux et provinciaux.  Le technicien de pont-roulant aide également l’équipe des ventes avec les devis et fait de recommandations pour les travaux de réparations.

Principales responsabilités:

  • Effectue les inspections sur différents types de palans et ponts-roulants
  • Gère la quantité et la qualité des travaux d’inspections
  • Maintient la documentation et les registres de l’inventaire utilisés selon les besoins de la facturation et des certifications
  • Identifie les problèmes de l’équipement et estime les coûts de réparation, remplacement et entretien de l’équipement
  • Effectue les comptes de cycle de l’inventaire sur une base régulière, selon les exigences
  • Adhère aux règlements de sécurité et de qualité du client lors de travail sur le site d’un client
  • Entretient l’équipement de la compagnie utilisé sur une base quotidienne/hebdomadaire/mensuelle
  • Ramasse et livre les produits des clients selon les besoins dans un véhicule de la compagnie
  • Déplacements fréquents, travail de nuit et les fins de semaines possibles selon les exigences

Qualifications:

  • Diplôme d’école secondaire ou équivalence
  • Minimum de 4 000 heures d’expérience liée aux ponts-roulants
  • Certificat de grutier valide dans la province de travail
  • Expérience de travail en hauteur, en inspection de l’équipement de levage, en examinateur de câble en acier et des principes fondamentaux et exigences ASME/OSHA
  • Connaissances des systèmes électriques et hydrauliques, capable de détecter des problèmes pour l’entretien d’ordre général
  • Doit avoir un permis de conduire valide et être assurable
  • Capable de soulever jusqu’à 50 lb du niveau du sol jusqu’au niveau de la taille
  • Établit les priorités de travail, veille à répondre aux échéanciers et à suivre les procédures
  • Capable d’accomplir plusieurs tâches efficacement en temps et lieu
  • Communique avec les clients de manière professionnelle

We are looking for a strong self-starter to join us in the role of Crane Technician in Ville St Laurent, QC. Reporting to the Service supervisor, the crane technician performs inspections and testing on various hoists and cranes to ensure safety certification is in accordance with provincial and federal regulations. The Crane Technician also assists the sales team with quotes and makes recommendations for repair work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections on various hoists and cranes
  • Manages the quantity and quality of inspections work
  • Maintains paperwork and records of used inventory for billing and certification purposes
  • Diagnoses equipment problems and estimates costs of equipment repairs, replacements, maintenance etc.
  • Completes cycle counts of inventory on a periodic basis, as required
  • Follows customer Safety and Quality rules when working at a customer’s site
  • Maintains company equipment used on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Picks up and delivers products to customers as required in company truck
  • Frequent travel, possible work nights and weekends as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4,000 hours of crane related experience
  • Hold valid Crane Operators Certificate for the province of work
  • Experience with working at heights, Lifting Gear Inspection, Wire Rope Examiner and ASME/OSHA rigging fundamentals and requirements
  • Knowledge of electricity and hydraulics, capable of troubleshooting for general maintenance
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable
  • Must safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
  • Establishes work priorities, ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicates with customers in a professional manner
