Polypropylene Rope – 3 Strand – Jumbo Plastic Reel

Polypropylene is the strongest rope (weight to strength) of all synthetics. The most popular premium general purpose synthetic fiber rope. Economical and versatile. This synthetic fiber rope is easier to handle than rope made from natural fibers. Low to moderate elongation. Floats, with high resistance to mildew and marine growth, and good resistance to most chemicals. This monofilament fiber polypropylene rope is very smooth surfaced. Due to its relatively low melting point (330°F) it is not recommended on capstans or bits where heat from friction could cause melting or fishing.

Polypropylene has the best resistance to flow of electricity and is widely used in the electric utility industry. Knots well, handles easily, good flexibility in cold temperatures, with wide usage in marine, farm, commercial fishing and utility industries.
