Samson rope, the worldwide leader in high-performance rope has just released a new static climbing line named Mercury, best used for Single Rope Systems (SRS) and rescue and access application.
This new SRS rope contains kernmantle construction, made up of a nylon parallel strand core with a 32-strand polyester cover for durability—Samson uses a special manufacturing process that provides superior strength, ease of knot tying and a soft hand.
Samson’s Mercury rope is available in 11mm, and is compatible with the most popular hardware on the market—it’s also produced in a highly visible orange camouflage-inspired color palette, is easy to handle, works well when wet and is great for knot-holding and footlocking. Samson rope’s Mercury is particularly beneficial for an aborist’s climbing rope tool kit.
Samson continues to set the standard for strength in arborist lines—Mercury offers 5% higher strength than Static Rope, and is a safe and secure stronghold for all arborist climbing activities.
“We worked directly with customers and climbers alike to provide a kernmantle rope that people have been really excited about,” said Gavin McWilliams, Marketing Strategy Manager for Samson’s Arborist Division. “And we intend to introduce more in the seasons to come.”
